Micro:Bit Battle Bots Epic Crash Highlight – Student Coded Tiny Robots Battle It Out

Another Micro:Bit Battle Highlight I just had to share. These little bots coded by my OutSchool students just miss each other on the first pass followed by a brutal crash where half of each sides pins are knocked off. Students 10-13 can join my next OutSchool Battle Bots Class with new 5 day classes starting from June through August. Battle Objective: Two Microbits are loaded into Yahboom’s Tiny:Bit vehicle modules and battle autonomously to knock the Lego pins from the side of the enemy vehicle. Each battle lasts 3 minutes or until one bot has lost all of its pins. I will be posting new battle videos often so please Subscribe to my channel.

Each Micro:bit Tiny:Bit module has a 3D printed harness added to provide a place to secure the Lego pins. The pins themselves are attached to genuine Lego pieces that have been hot-glued to the side of the 3D printed harness.

More about the Micro:Bit
The Micro:bit microcontroller is a powerful(and affordable) programming and design platform from the well known education and news company BBC that can be used to to easily build anything from robots to lie detectors.
