I stumbled upon this 3D Print on Thingiverse from Caphector and I am so glad I 3D printed and created a stop motion time lapse of the model The first and last few frames are so cool to watch. I used Silver PLA+ and I am sure I will be coming back to this color again in my future time lapses/stop motion prints.
New to 3D Printing and need some help? How time lapse 3D Printing Works
After each .2 MM layer( That is barely thicker than a sheet of paper!) the 3D printer pauses, moves the extruder to the rear of the printer, takes a photo and then continues the print giving the illusion of the print appearing from thin air. This is essentially a stop motion video of the entire print shrunk down to a few seconds.
